Update 1.12.0! New Quest, New desires, Halloween and more!


Hello everyone together! I am incredibly happy to announce this new update after such a long time! I hope you are still interested in the game and that this new big update delivers enough content for you!

-Added a new Story Quest! Trigger it after "threat to the refugees" by going to Puzzle!
-Added a cheat code to manipulate relationships with desires.
-fixed bug that would let you start the middle of Xora's quest when you have the bullhorn.
-fixed bug that would prevent you from watching "Ray's and Ruko's clash" event. The event should now also be available for anyone who doesn't have the japanese language package installed on their computer, ha ha!
-added the option to toggle easy mode during gameplay. To turn easy mode on or off, press the page up key on your keyboard, go to technical cheats > Reset and settings > change starting settings > toggle easy mode. I thought that was a good idea for people who find some of the new mini games too hard and want them to be easier, as I myself think that some of them are really difficult!
-Added WASD support for player movement
-Massively improved framerate and loading times due to swapping of preload plugins. Let me know how you like it!
-Added an option to toggle special effects in game. That means for example the weather effect overlays for the screen or the hearts overlay during dreamscapes. They can drag down the framerate for bad PCs, so if you encounter problems with that, go to technical cheats > Reset and settings > change starting settings > toggle Special effects
-Added Low HP and defeated sprites for Succula, Ray, Ruko, Dren, Shania and Eduard!
-Reworked Myle's sprite because I didn't like them very much
-Added two new desires: HItomi and Vickey!
-Added Rascal's, Hitomi's and Vickey's description when you ask Anna about them.
-Completely reworked Eduard, he now has a new pixel sprite, new character sprites, a menu sprite and his personality was updated by just a tiny bit, it's almost unnoticeable!
-Fixed a weird switch of pictures in the lost daughter Quest's male route
-Added a new save system, it's just like the other, but gives you a lot more information as to where you are in this save and what level you are.
-Renewed Yikshi's dreamscape, it is now a fullbody with a completely new picture since this is how I've always wanted it to be!
-Should have fixed the bug that would cause the game to crash if you'd enter Ferahna's underground with Myle
-Added romancing route events for Lanch, Wooly and Tarius!
-Added 2 new kinds of enemies (each with a male and female version)
-Added 2 new locations, so far they don't really do much yet though!
-Added the halloween event! To trigger it, buy a specific item from the Pallymore furniture shop! I've been meaning to implement this event already last year, yet wasn't able to do so. My health wasn't very good when I was working on this event, but I didn't want to wait another year to add it, so I've worked hard to be able to make it till this tuesday! I hope you're going to enjoy the event!

I have attempted to try and fix the extreme lag issue with Dahmian's event and I might have found the problem. However, this is the strangest bug I have ever encountered during the development of this game and I really can't find why it is doing what it's doing... basically what happens, is that there is a parallel event on the graveyard map, which questions if it is night, day or the night of Dahmian's recrution. And depending on that, it is supposed to play different music. Then there is a different parallel event on the map that tints the screen dark after a fight, since the map would stay bright otherwise, which it isn't supposed to at night. I've tried mixing those two together and the lag was MUCH less. But now I've ran into another, much, much more strange problem. As soon as I try to place an event that plays a BGS on this map, no matter if on parallel process, autorun or player's touch, it completely cancels out every sound on the map, including the sounds that are supposed to play in events (for example, Dahmian stumbling and falling) AND doesn't even start playing the BGS. I've tried to see if it happens with other BGS or if it's just this specific one, but it happens with all others too. And it's really just this map, which confuses me, since parallel process events usually work really well to play music or BGS.
I'll keep working on this problem, but for now I decided to completely remove the sound from this map. I think it's more important to have the event be playable at all, rather than have the music in it.

If there's anyone out there who actually knows about this kind of stuff, I'd be really grateful if they could help me a little, ha ha! I'd even be willing to send them the project, so they could test it for themselves.
As for the players, it'd be great if the ones who had problems with Dahmian's event could try and see if it works correctly for them now! I hope this fixed the lag! And sorry for the big wall of text, I just really wanted to share my confusion about this specific problem, ha ha.

Other than that, I am working on a patreon page right now! It is under review at the moment so I won't be able to share it yet. However, I had a hard time coming up with ideas for tier perks and so I thought why not ask the community themself what they would like to see?
